The difference between a professional photographer and an amateur ... a professional only shows you his/her best pics.

Grand Tetons
Grand Tetons from the Wyoming side.

I've been a photographer for over 40 years and have always used Nikon cameras and lenses but with the improvements in technology over the years, an iPhone camera can take just as nice a shot as an expensive DSLR. Most of the pics in the gallery here are taken with a DSLR (Nikon D7500).

Now that I'm retired, I get to spend more time with my photography and one day I may be considered a professional photographer, but for now, I'm just a guy with a camera who loves taking pictures in nature and sharing them online. Most of my shots are discovered while driving 60 - 80 miles an hour and I end up turning around to take the pic. I'm hoping now that I will have more time, I'll be able to hike more and capture better shots that aren't so easily accessible. Most professional photographers would plan their shots and spend a whole day waiting for the light to be just perfect. I don't have time for that, I need to get to my next location.

I created this site to help me share my love for photography and travel and also be a single place you can go to follow me on my National Park tour.

If you go to the Portfolio section of the site you will see a ton of pics from my travels. New pics will always be displayed at the top of the screen. I've also created a section called Travels with Randy where you can see my YouTube videos, listen to the podcast and see all the new pictures each week.

I hope you enjoy all of the content as much as I enjoy sharing it. Feel free to share my images, blog posts, YouTube videos and podcasts episodes with your social media contacts so more folks can enjoy the beauty and majesty of this great country.

Cheers!

Randy
